Funny Stories To Tell

Everyone loves a story. Stories are universal and timeless. They can bridge the gap between people of different ages, social backgrounds and cultures. They do not just inform the mind, they engage the heart. Stories like the parables are very profound. Stories on humor and funny incidents can be immensely entertaining too. I have some funny stories to tell and I hope you will laugh and enjoy them.

Laughter is the best medicine. So, laugh as much and as often as you can. Don’t miss a single day without laughing. Don’t wait until you are sick to practise “laughter therapy.”

Laughter dissolves tension, stress, anxiety, irritation, anger, grief, and depression. Like crying, laughter lowers inhibitions, allowing the release of pent-up emotions. After a hearty bout of laughter, you will experience a sense of well-being. Simply put, “he who laughs, lasts”. After all, if you can laugh at it, you can also live with it.

Medical researches found that laughter boosts the immune system and increases your chance of recovery from a sickness. It stimulates the release of endorphins from your body which act as painkillers which are as potent as morphine.

Laughter like salt adds flavor and spice to life. You need your 5 senses plus a sense of humor for wholesome living. People with a sense of humor laughs easily. A sense of humor can help you accept the inevitable, rise to any challenge, handle the unexpected with ease, and come out of any difficulty smiling.

Everyone loves somebody who can make them laugh. The more you share your sense of humor, the more friends you will have. I like this. Mind you, I have a handful of funny stories to tell. Are you ready for laughs? Some are mine and some are borrowed.

I will start on a personal note. Let me tell you about my close encounter with sharks. It is one of my many funny stories to tell here.

SHARK ATTACK
This happened many years ago when I was a young girl swimming off a New Jersey beach.

Suddenly I looked up and saw at least 6 dorsal fins knifing through the water about 30m out.

Immediately, I made a bee-line for the shore, my fat little arms and legs churning like pistons, swimming as fast as I can.

What is the matter?” my mother asked as I came sprinting out of the water.

What is the matter?” I wheezed, trying to catch my breath. “Didn’t you see those sharks out there?”

Oh, those are just dolphins,” my mother replied. “They won’t hurt you.”

Dolphins? OMG!
